My Mother

I have to say that my Mother was a person who nurtured and cared for me. I did not realize this until I graduated from High School. Until then, I thought I had the meaneast mother in the world, because of how strict she was in rearing me. I believe that she truly felt that if she was'nt strict that I would become get hurt or in trouble. My mother did teah me to respect myself, respect others, and she also taught me right from wrong. However, I dont agree with all of her actions or methods in handling certain situations. However, they hey made me a better parent to my four year old daughter. Because those things were too painful, I wont expound on them. The things that she did that I didnt agree with, I promised not to do as a parent. I think a lot of her frustrations stemmed from the fact that she was a single mom, so she tried to do everything she thought was right to create a successful person. I was my mom's youngest and until recently the only one to graduate from college. Therefore, in some ways her strict parenting skills contributed to my success.
